FLEET POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
The Ohio State University's Vehicle Acquisition and Use policies
were updated December 2005. These policies provide guidelines
for the acquisition, use, maintenance, and disposal of all state
owned, leased or donated vehicles as well as reporting requirements.
New Policies!
A 15-Passenger Van Policy
(pdf) is in place and is effective as of March 1, 2007. (updated
February 12, 2007)
A New Gift-in-Kind Policy (pdf)
is in place and is effective as of March 1, 2007. Vehicles
provided by automobile dealerships, where the dealer retains title
(Gift-in-Kind) are covered under this policy.

University employees have been asked to help minimize air pollution and maximize fuel efficiency by operating University vehicles and equipment in an environmentally and economically responsible manner. As of March 1, 2007, operators of University vehicles are being asked to follow the new Idling Guidelines. (added February 13, 2007) |
