CONSTRUCTION ALERT - Beginning Monday, June 15 through the Fall of 2009, many state, city, and campus construction projects, including the SR315 construction closures, will impact your commute to campus. During this time, motorists should anticipate parking shortages/traffic delays and are encouraged to arrive on campus early. For more information regarding the SR 315 construction closures, please visit the

SUMMER QUARTER PARKING
During Summer Quarter, classes ARE in session and there are numerous camps and other activities on campus which fills most surface parking during daytime peak hours. Since CABS bus service is reduced, the restrictions regarding purchase of permits are lifted and students of any rank may purchase central campus parking.

  • General Parking Rules to Remember
    • Central campus permits will be required to park on central campus M-F, from 5am-4pm. Any customer currently holding a west campus or CX permit that wishes to park on central campus must upgrade to a central campus permit.
    • From 4pm-3am, Monday – Friday and from 4pm on Friday – 3am on Monday, rules are relaxed to allow any purchased OSU permit to park in any non restricted A, B or C surface parking space.
    • Because the Med Center Express Service will run throughout summer quarter, CX and CXC permits are required to park in CX parking, M-F, from 5am – 4pm.
    • Students living in the residence halls during summer quarter may park overnight in any C parking space with a C parking permit (students with a WC or WC5 can exchange their permit for a C beginning June 12th)
    • All other parking rules apply - for more information, please see Summer Quarter Parking.

UPGRADE YOUR PERMIT FOR SUMMER QUARTER
Staff, and students (regardless of rank) may upgrade their permits beginning Friday, June 12th (see choices listed below). Please note: The Arps and Neil Avenue Garages will be available for hourly parking beginning Monday, June 15th, 2009 through Monday, August 31, 2009.

  • Staff:
    • Garage Locations include:
      • BE - All garages except Hospitals and 12th Ave. Garages (4pm - 3am)
    • Vehicles may not be stored in the garages overnight from 3am - 5am.
  • Students:
    • There will be no student garage permit sales for summer quarter due to the significant number of summer construction projects that will limit parking availability.
