Construction Significantly Impacts Campus Traffic
and Parking
The occurrence of road closures/detours and
the loss of surface parking spaces during construction may
impact daily travel and may create a “ripple effect”
in other areas of campus as customer use alternate roadways
or relocate to new parking areas. During this time, motorists
should anticipate parking shortages and traffic delays and
are encouraged to plan accordingly to reduce frustration.
While a complete list of known projects and map of each location
can be found here,
we’d like to call your attention to a few projects that
may result in significant traffic and or parking delays:
Howlett Hall Utility Work Begins
12/7 - Utility work in the parking lot located southeast of Howlett Hall will temporarily close parking spaces toward the northwest portion of the lot beginning Monday, December 7, 2009. The utility work and subsequent parking space closures
are expected to last approximately six to eight weeks, weather permitting.
Cannon Drive and 12th Avenue - Utility
projects in the Medical Center area of campus will result
in lane restrictions along Cannon and 12th Avenue.
Detailed project information and road closure updates can
be found at http://fod.osu.edu/news/index.htm.
