The construction of the 1,400 space
Lane Avenue Parking Garage (closure of the Tuttle Parking
lot) is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 28, 2008 at 5:00AM.
The loss of 400 surface parking spaces during the construction
will impact daily parking availability and may create a “ripple
effect” in other areas of campus as customers relocate
to new areas. Please consider the following alternatives:
Customers with Garage Keycards
A and BG1 parking permits/keycards may park in the Arps, Northwest
and Tuttle Park Place garages, and CG1 parking permits/keycards
may park in the Tuttle Park Place and Neil Avenue garages,
where space is usually available. Area events do impact availability
since the Tuttle Park Place garage is used for hourly parkers
attending events in the area. An events calendar can be found
on the Transportation & Parking Services web page at http://www.tp.osu.edu/Events/calendar.shtml
that will give you information regarding scheduled events
and the parking impacts.
Customers with Surface Parking Permits
B and C parking permits (for daytime parking) and WA, WB,
WC, CX and CXC permits (after 4PM weekdays) may find that
the nearby surface lots fill just a bit earlier than usual
(we anticipate the area lots filling by 8:30AM instead of
9AM as in the past). Parking alternatives include:
• The Riverbank parking lots (off of Olentangy River
Road) have convenient access via stairs to Woody Hayes Drive
and nearby CABS stops at the St. John Arena or Ag Campus
locations.
• The parking lot behind Vivian Hall (off of Fyffe
Road) is conveniently located near the Ag Campus CABS stops.
Remote Park and Ride Options
Customers displaced by the lot closure may downgrade their
central campus parking permit to a less expensive west campus
or CX permit. There are two transit options to access this
area of campus.
NEW! - Tuttle Shuttle
Service Details
The new “Tuttle Shuttle”, will begin service
on Monday, April 21st, 2008. Shuttles will run every 20
minutes from 6:40AM - 6:00PM, Monday – Friday. Stops
include: Gerlach Hall, Fawcett Center, Buckeye Lots, and
RPAC. This route will have specific time points that the
bus will depart each location as noted below.

*Customers with central campus parking permits would
downgrade to the CX (faculty and staff) or CXC (students)
permit to park in the Buckeye Lot.
West Campus CABS Routes
West Campus routes serving this area include the Campus
Loops (North and South) and the North Express route. Buses
run every 6-8 minutes during daytime peak hours. CABS routes,
stops and schedules can be found on the Transportation &
Parking web site at http://www.tp.osu.edu/cabs/mapsschedules/index.shtml.
