DORM RESIDENTS
Qualifying undergraduate dorm residents (i.e. not designated as a first year student) bringing a vehicle to campus may store their vehicle on West Campus by purchasing a “WC5”. Sophomore students (rank 2) may only store their vehicle on West Campus in the areas designated for overnight “WC5” parking. Having vehicles stored on West Campus helps promote available parking to daily commuters. The West Campus overnight lots have continuous bus service, regular patrol and security cameras. All vehicles with “WC5” permits are required to park in the West Campus overnight lots Monday through Friday 3:00 AM to 5:00 AM. On weekends (4:00 PM Friday until 3:00 AM Monday), dorm residents with this permit are permitted to move their cars to Central Campus in a surface parking lot only*. (“CP” spaces are reserved for the “CP” permit holders from 6:00PM - 3:00AM seven days a week.) Dorm residents are not permitted to park overnight (3:00 AM – 5:00 AM) in a campus parking garage at anytime. If a vehicle belonging to a dorm resident is found parked overnight in a garage, a parking citation will be issued; in addition, the hourly garage fees must be paid upon exit.
Dorm residents with a junior or above status are eligible to purchase an overnight “CP” proximity permit, or opt for the less-expensive West Campus “WC5” option. Graduate dorm residents are not permitted to park overnight (3:00 AM – 5:00 AM) in a campus parking garage at anytime. If a vehicle belonging to a dorm resident is found parked overnight in a garage, a parking citation will be issued; in addition, the hourly garage fees must be paid upon exit. There is no overnight parking on Curl Drive for any permit type.
*Please note: An exception to this rule occurs on Football Saturdays. There are lots on campus that are reserved strictly for football parking and all vehicles must be removed from these lots by 5:00AM. Any vehicle not removed by that time will be towed at the owners expense. For more information on this exception, please visit the Football parking page or e-mail us at tpinfo@osu.edu .
OVERNIGHT DORM GUESTS
Overnight parking for OSU visitors staying in the dormitories is permitted in the Arps and Ohio Union South garages during the weekend for a maximum of 24 hours per visit. (Please note that the Arps Garage is not open to visitors until 4:00PM M-F). Regular fees must be paid. For visits longer than 24 hours, visitors need to purchase the multi-day visitor permit. Parking privileges are based on the parking designation of the student they are visiting. For more information on visitor permit options, please see the visitor information page.

COMMUTER LATE-NIGHT PARKING
We ask commuter students to have their vehicles removed from campus by 3:00 AM; however, we are aware there are occasions when studying and access to facilities may require students to park past this time. If you need to park past 3:00 AM, we ask that you move your vehicle to one of the “C” spaces in the designated areas listed below. The late-night areas will be closely monitored to detect abuse (parking your vehicle on campus without moving it for 24 hours or more). The designated garages require the purchase of commuter student evening garage permit to allow garage parking. Regular parking regulations for these areas resume at 5:00AM.
North Campus: Northeast Stadium lot “C” spaces and Northwest Garage (garage access requires “CG”, “CE” or “WCE”)
South and Medical Campus: "C" lot on the corner of 11th Ave. and College Road near Catfish Biffs, Polo Field Lot
“C” spaces, Ohio Union North Garage, and South Cannon Garage, which closes December 2009 (garage access requires “CG”, “CE” or “WCE”)
Ag. Campus: Vivian Lot “C” spaces and Sisson Lot “C” spaces
West Campus: Carmack Lot 2 “WC” spaces near the Sherman Art Studio
FACULTY & STAFF EXTENDED PARKING
We understand fluctuating work schedules may require faculty and staff vehicles to be parked on campus for longer periods of time. If you have a need to park your vehicle longer than 72 hours, please make other arrangements for off-campus parking, or move your vehicle to the West Campus lots. Vehicles found parked for longer than 72 hours will be cited as abandoned and moved at the owner’s expense.
